Chapitre 1
Alors que le professeur de langues anciennes, JamesWalker, cherchait des livres de latin à la bibliothèque d'Amsterdam, il vit sur une étagère, couché derrière les autres livres, un ouvrage poussièreux. Il le prit, souffla dessus pour lire le titre (La légende du temple enseveli) et l'ouvrit.
A sa grande surprise, un vieux papier tomba par terre. Il se baissa et le ramassa. C'était un parchemin sur lequel on voyait le dessin d'un temple en plein coeur d'une jungle. En retournant la carte, il aperçut un texte écrit dans une langue inconnue.
Il quitta la bibliothèque et décida de se rendre chez son amie, Pamela Simson, espionne et experte en langues mortes. Jusqu'à présent, elle l'avait toujours aidé!
Arrivé chez elle, il sonna. Pamela vint lui ouvrir.
« Pamela, Pamela, j'ai trouvé une chose extraordinaire!
Un vieux parchemin avec la carte d'un temple et un texte écrit dans une langue inconnue. Peux-tu m'aider?
-Bien sûr, est-ce un trésor? » le questionna Pamela.
- « Je ne sais pas, je ne connais pas cette langue », répondit James.
- « Fais voir, je vais essayer de déchiffer. Alors:
Au coeur de la forêt
un temple est caché
Seul le roi mort
Sait où le trésor repose
D'or et de pierres précieuses
Dans la plus grande jungle d'Amérique
Creuse et tu le trouveras.
Je n'arrive pas à lire la suite, il manque des lettres... » s'exclama Pamela.
-Mais, la plus grande forêt d'Amérique, c'est l'Amazonie! C'est là que ce temple est enfoui. J'y vais, accompagne-moi, j'aurai besoin de toi. » dit James Walker.
Il rentra chez lui pour préparer sa valise et ses armes( un revolver, une corde, un gourdin et un poignard).
Bien qu'étant agé de 38 ans, James Walker paraissait beaucoup plus jeune. Il était très sportif, n'avait peur de rien et aimait toujours autant partir à l'aventure. Il portait généralement un chapeau, un pantalon de toile, une veste de cuir.
Il sortit de chez lui et passa prendre Pamela pour filer à l'aéroport.

Chapter 2
James Walker and Pamela Simpson arrived at the airport and got checked in. ‘I feel like I’m being watched,’ said Pamela. They were up for the mission which lay ahead of them. James had bought an extra resource, a map of the Amazonian rainforest, to help them get around.
James and Pamela boarded the plane to Guyana, but little did they know, Scar, a first class criminal was following them onto the plane. He had been following them ever since James had found the map in the library. He had been looking for the map for weeks on end and when he found it the library was closing and he had to leave. The next day when he came back the librarian had re-arranged the books and James Walker had beaten him to it!
Scar disguised himself as an airhostess and placed a drug in James and Pamela’s tea and they fell asleep! He started searching their bags, but he couldn’t find anything! Scar was furious, ‘How could I have got my calculations wrong!’ he yelled. ‘I never get them wrong’
Everyone turned to stare. Oh no, he thought. Had his plans just gone bust?
James and Pamela began to come to. The rainforest was appearing underneath. They quickly took in the situation. They both stood up and ran to the exit. The hostess tried to take them back to their seats, but before she knew it Pamela had flung open the door and both of them were parachuting out. James could just hear the scream of the airhostess. Pamela landed safely on the ground, but James was hanging from a tree. Pamela rescued him and as they were about to embark on their journey to find the temple, they heard a noise, they turned round and a leopard jumped out of the tree. Pamela and James both stood in shock. ‘Get out of my way, Pamela,’ growled James.

Chapitre 3
Le léopard se jeta sur Pamela et James lança un filet pour l'attraper. Il était pris au piège et se démenait. Pamela s'exclama:
« Pourquoi ne pas essayer de l'apprivoiser? Il pourrait nous aider dans nos recherches. On ne va pas le tuer tout de même!
Tu as raison, essayons de l'amadouer avec des morceaux de viande. »
James déposa des morceaux de viande par terre et il se mit à distance avec Pamela. Avec une corde , James souleva le filet pour libérer le léopard. L'animal sortit et se déplaça en mangeant les morceaux de viande. Le dernier se trouvait dans la main de James. Le léopard se coucha à leurs pieds et accepta de se faire caresser.
Ils se remirent en route, le léopard les suivait. Arrivés à un croisement de plusieurs chemins, ils se disputèrent car ils ne voulaient pas aller du même côté. Pamela s'éloigna, James partit sur un autre chemin suivi du léopard.
Comme elle avançait sur le sentier, Pamela sentit soudain qu'on l'attrapait par le cou. Un homme avait surgi derrière elle. Elle sentit le froid du canon du revolver sur sa tempe.
« Ne bouge pas, ou je tire! » ordonna l'homme.
C'était Scar, le criminel de l'avion, qui les avait suivis en sautant , lui aussi en parachute. Il avait payé deux hommes dans un village pour l'accompagner en jeep dans la forêt.
Ils emmenèrent Pamela dans une cabane. La moitié du plancher était enlevé et un trou donnait sur une fosse remplie de cobras!
Ils mirent une passerelle sur la fosse et attachèrent Pamela sur une chaise de l'autre côté .
Au bout d'un moment, James commença à s'inquiéter de ne pas voir revenir Pamela. Il fit sentir au léopard la carte au trésor qu'elle avait touché. Il se mit à gémir et courut dans la direction opposée. James partit derrière lui.
Ils arrivèrent à la cabane. James défonça la porte et s'arrêta pile devant la fosse. Le léopard sauta par-dessus et dévora les liens de Pamela.
Pendant ce temps, James avait attaché sa corde à une poutre et s'élançait pour les rejoindre. Pamela s'accrocha à James et ils atterrirentsur le plancher. James enflamma un morceau de bois et le lança dans la fosse.
Ils se ruèrent hors de la cabane et empruntèrent la jeep que les bandits avaient abandonnée. Soudain, Pamela se mit à hurler, un serpent s'était glissé dans sa veste!

Chapter 4
Death Falls!

James was startled to see the snake in Pamela’s jacket. He grabbed it and tried to wrestle the snake out of the jeep, but he lost control of the steering and the jeep swung round and hit a tree. They climbed out of the vehicle deep in shock. They staggered to the edge of a muddy bank, right at the edge of a muddy stream. They both agreed they had to get across to the other side. James and Pamela were carefully stepping on large stones dodging poisonous frogs, when suddenly, the rock which James was standing on started to move, it was a caiman. The reptile flung James off his back and began to trash his tail around in the water. James was helpless, he couldn’t reach his weapons and the leopard was too far away, but before he knew it, Pamela was reaching into his pocket. She grabbed the revolver and shot the caiman. Unfortunately, they all lost their balance and fell into the river along with the reptile. Pamela was trying to pull the leopard close to her, when she heard James yell,
“We’re heading for a waterfall!”
They all tumbled down an everlasting cascade of water. Then suddenly chaos broke out – CRASH! Pamela frantically tried to push the leopard towards a bundle of grass, but was finding it very difficult. James was attempting to gather all his weapons together and was finding it extremely difficult. It took a total of twenty minutes before they reached land again, but at least they had lost the caiman. They sat down, breathless and before they knew it they had fallen into an exhausted sleep.

They woke to hear heavy rain falling. Then they heard a loud roar.
“What was that?” James asked Pamela.
Just then they noticed a very big jaguar standing nearby. They sprinted along the bank, screaming as loud as they could.

Little did they know that Scar and his two henchmen had been following them since they left the cabin!

They were running through all the twigs and trees as fast as they could, getting stung by nettles along the way.

After they had made a considerable distance between themselves and the jaguar, they saw a boat. As they got into it, Scar caught up with them and dived underneath the boat. In their panic, James and Pamela didn’t notice another waterfall ahead, but it was too late, they fell out the boat and down into the thunderous water below.

Chapitre 5

James et Pamela étaient secoués par les remous; ils étaient à moitié noyés. Soudain, James fut envoyé par le courant contre un gros rocher. Ils se sentirent aspirés par un tourbillon qui les entraîna au fond de l'eau. En s'appuyant sur le rocher, James avait déclenché le mécanisme d'ouverture d'un souterrain au fond de la chute d'eau.
Ils aperçurent un passage dans la roche d'ou s'échappait une source de lumière. Ils nagèrent vers l'entrée et suivirent un étroit tunnel. Bientôt, ils sentirent que le sol remontait et la lumière devint très vive.
Suivis du léopard, ils émergèrent à la surface d'un petit lac naturel à l'intérieur d'une grotte spacieuse. A bout de souffle, ils se hissèrent sur une corniche.
« Où sommes-nous? » demanda Pamela.
« Je l'ignore, sans doute derrière la cascade. » répliqua James.
Ils décidèrent de continuer leur chemin et d'explorer la caverne. Ils n'avaient pas besoin d'allumer une torche, la lumière du soleil pénétrait par de grandes fissures dans la voûte.
James, Pamela et le léopard se mirent en route. Tout à coup, Pamela marcha sur une pierre qui s'enfonça; le sol de la grotte se mit à trembler et un énorme rocher dévala le chemin dans leur direction.
Devant eux, se trouvait une fosse. James vit un piton rocheux qui dépassait de la falaise. Il lança sa corde qui s'y enroula, étendit le bras et agrippa Pamela. Ils sautèrent de l'autre côté de la fosse. Le léopard s'élança d'un bond derrière eux. L'énorme pierre tomba dans la fosse dans un vacarme infernal.
Pour se remettre de leurs émotions, ils s'appuyèrent contre le mur qui pivota brutalement. Ils perdirent l'équilibre et tombèrent à la renverse sur le sol.
Pamela leva la tête et s'écria:
« Regarde, James! »
Il leva la tête à son tour et vit des écritures anciennes gravées dans la roche.
« Et si c'était la suite du texte du parchemin? » réfléchit à voix haute Pamela.

Chapter 6
Sinking Sand
James studies the writing on the wall and Pamela translates the words into English. They are standing on an uneven, stone floor and there are large cracks on the walls. Rats scuttle around their feet. As James touches part of the writing, he activates a trap door. They plunge downward into a pit, which contains huge spiders and snakes. The snakes and spiders begin to crawl all over James, Pamela and the leopard. James pulls out his rope and swings it out to catch the top of a vine. He climbs up the rope, helping Pamela and the leopard. Suddenly, the roof starts to close down, so they are forced to sprint to the exit and just get out in the nick of time. They realise they are on the other side of the wall which has more writing. James studies the wall and sees that the writing matches the other wall. Together they work out it gives directions to the lost city which is buried underground, deep in the forest.

James shouts, ‘Yes!’

But while Pamela and he are talking, they are ambushed by Scar and his henchmen.

James is searched and Scar takes the map. He does not notice the leopard, as it leaps onto Scar and sinks his teeth into his leg. Scar lets go of the map and James grabs it. Pamela, James and the leopard all make a run for it. They all leap into Scar’s jeep and drive off.
It begins to rain heavily and the jeep suddenly grinds to a halt. They are forced to get out and walk. They stumble over a patch of soft ground. As they walk across they all start to sink. James begins to struggle and Pamela is shrieking with panic. They are sinking deeper and deeper into the ground, until they are completely submerged. They fall onto a cold rock floor. James stands up amazed and Pamela gasps, for what they see is truly unbelievable. They are in a buried city and at the far end was a temple!

Le moment que j'ai le plus aimé pendant les vacances

C'était le dernier samedi des vacances.
Je me disais depuis longtemps que mon nouvel appartement devait être grand.
Dans l'avion il faisait nuit, j'étais impatient de le voir.
Et quand je l'ai vu, je l'ai adoré , il était tellement grand qu'on avait l'impression qu'il n'y avait pas de meubles.

Bonjour je m'appelle Clément.
Le meilleur moment que j'ai passé de mes vacances, c'est quand j'ai visité la Tour Eiffel à Paris et J'habitais dans un hôtel trois étoiles et la nourriture était très bonne.
CLEMENT
Mes cousins sont venus pendant les vacances.On a nagé au Centre Aqualudique.
C'était bien,quand on avait fait des saltos .On a joué à celui qui pouvait être le plus longtemps sous l'eau .Ce qu'on a fait aussi,c'est un concours de celui qui pouvait nager
le plus vite possible.On a été dans le toboggan plusieurs fois.
On voulait nager dehors mais il faisait trop froid.
DAAN
Je m'appelle Emma, j'habite à Huriel.
Le moment que j'ai le plus aimé, c'est quand je suis allée à côté de Bordeaux, avec ma soeur, mon tonton et ma future tata, le lundi en Août.
En vérité c'est quand on était à la plage à Biscarosse, j'ai aimé les vagues.
Elles étaient très grandes.

Bonjour, je m'appelle Lisa .
Je suis allée en vacances au Pays Basque et le moment que j'ai le mieux aimé pendant mes vacances
C'est quand on était sur la plage avecla mer et les grosses vagues que l'on voyait .
C'était bien et en plus c'était très joli de voir les vagues s'éclater contre les rochers .
Elles éclaboussaient partout j'ai beaucoup aimé j'espère y retourner.
LISA
Bonjour , je m'appelle Margaux , je suis en cm2 , j'ai 10 ans .
Le 1er août 2008, en Espagne à la piscine , j'ai rencontré ma cousine au camping .
Plus tard , j'ai fait du manège . Et j'ai beaucoup aimé le camping .
MARGAUX
Mon passage de grade au Karaté .
C était le 28 juin au gymnase des Guineberts à Montluçon.
Je suis passé de la ceinture blanche à la ceinture jaune.
Il y avait mes professeurs : Willi , Cèline et Mathieu.
Il y avait des copains: Raymomd, Killiam, Antoine et Léa.
Ensuite il y a eu l' épreuve des coups de pieds, l' épreuve des coups de poings, l' épreuve du kata, puis enfin j' ai eu la ceinture jaune, j'étais très heureux.
QUENTIN B
Le moment que j'ai préféré pendant mes vacances avec ma famille, c'est quand on a déménagé à Huriel.
Au début, j'étais très triste , la route était longue, mais dès que suis arrivé dans ma nouvelle maison , j'étais content de la voir.
J'ai déménagé le 28 juin.
Le moment que j'ai préféré, c'est quand
je suis sorti de ma voiture avec ma soeur. On n'était pas très contents d'avoir quitté nos copains.
C'était vraiment dur.
Mais j'ai trouvé la maison très belle et je me suis fait d'autres copains.

Hello my name is Gillian. I went to England and stayed in a house. I went to a park and the weather was good. I was there for a week.

I went to South America it was really fun but the best thing I liked was going to the
park with my granny and 3 of her dogs.
One of them is called Luna which is Spanish for Moon she’s one of my favourite dogs. That day my little cousin fell into a mini river. It was really funny and luckily my auntie had a spare pare clothes in her bag.

My name is Rhiannon (Ree-ann-on). I am 10 years old. I live with my brother, sister and my parents. I have a rabbit called Rose. This year I went to Florida. I went to Disney Land theme park to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Mickey gave me a big hug and I got my photo taken with him. I did the same with Minnie and after the photo she gave me a kiss. I got their autograph and then had lunch.
I went to England. The weather was hot. The cottage was on a farm. We met people there. I went to York it was fun. I went to the beach and played. I had a great time. Erin age 10
My name is Ross I am 9 years old. I went to Aviemore for two days and went on a walk at 12 o’clock during the night and I named a bat Speedy.
